Sorry, I'm almost laughing too hard to form a coherent reply to someone wishing they had Leah's 'talent'. Other than knowing how to walk to a mark on the stage and mugging for the camera, to exactly WHAT 'talent' would you be referring?

Great legs are a dime a dozen - Toronto has some of the most beautiful women in the world. I'll give Leah marks for being attractive but really, is that what passes for talent now?? MuchMusic was a good fit and she played to the right demographic. SYTYCD has proven to be WAAAY beyond her level.

If she comes back - and sadly, I know she will - I hope she reads all of the critiques and criticisms (and if she or her handlers are smart, they definitely are) and really works on her presence and stage style. She has a year and this is the big time for her. Don't blow it Leah. (I'm singing 'Lose Yourself' in my head right now - how fitting!)

Another season of the same 'Goldie Hawn-esque' performances (think Laugh-In from the 70's) and a truly good thing will have been totally ruined for a lot of people who AREN'T the Much Music crowd. The host position needs more sophistication. These dancers and choreographers are putting on the performances of their lives. They deserved better than Leah 2008. Here's hoping Leah 2009 cares enough to learn from it.

What 3 million votes are we talking about here? The ones that got her the prize for Canada's "hottest" new star? First, whether or not she's "hot" has NOTHING to do with whether or not she blows chunks as a host (which she does, sad to say). Second, do you really think the total population with a hate on for the girl are ALL on this board? Seems much more likely that the percentages here are representative of the percentages in the rest of the viewing public, and the majority by far seem to agree with my comment about the chunks. Third, just who voted in that contest anyway? I never even heard of it before they announced on the show that she'd won it. Perhaps 3 million is the exact number of MuchMusic viewers who want to be her when they finish puberty. And last, just what was the criteria for "hot"? I thought "hot" meant "attractive", and she's only just passin' warm in my book. Pretty enough, but annoying as all get out.
