Ranking the Preformances

From Best to Worst

1. Darryl Brunt : Easily the preformer with the most potential. Amazing depth and tone to such a young voice. All he needs to do is bring out the stage presense, and he'll be able to really turn alot of heads.

2. Ashley Leitao: Almost the opposite of Brunt's preformance. Her stage presence is magical, makes you glued to the screen to see every movement she makes. Charisma. Singing needs to improve a bit, but still strong voice and good preformance.

3. Cher Maendel: Gorgeous, fun personality, and a risk taker. Must give credit for having her be ballsy enough to sing Queen. Quirky and different. Good combination.

4. Stephane Aubin: Good personality, good voice. Good enough to put him at #4.

5. Jenn Beaupre: A bit like Cher, where she is quirky. Perhaps more of a gifted singer, but not as dynamic on stage and fun as Cher.

6. Matt Humphreys: Very average. Ok voice. Ok stage presense. Nothing that blew me away. Nothing makes me remember his preformance.

7. Danielys Hernandez: Awful choice in song kills her chances. Nothing stands out about her rendition.

8. Melody Bonicel: Beautifully crisp and melodic voice. However, too many holes in her preformance limits her ability to adapt to the rigours of this competition.

I am almost diametrically opposite to the posted list.
Jean Beaupre deserves to be at the top for her uniqueness, and enjoyable manner in which she sang that song.
Similar for Danielys.
Melody was beautiful and touching.

The other performances were pretty good, and we were impressed, but I take the viewpoint of whose CD I would play.
I just wish Stephane had not sung Georgia. I've heard it way too much, and I totally lost interest in him after that. We may never learn how well he can sing something a little more in touch with today's tastes.

I think you have to consider, this early in the competition, who has the most star potential when voting. And clearly, the three who do are Daryl, Ashley and Cher.

So why did I have trouble watching even half her performance? I kept having to remind myself that I was supposed to be paying attention and then wandering off again.

I don't vote for "potential" - if you're in this competition, you should be closer to reaching it than Daryl is. His voice hasn't changed yet!! Has it? He's just SO young. But anyway, good for him for winning over the voters. Let's see what he can do.

Ashely is indeed nice to look at. An incredibly beautiful girl. It was easy to not pay attention to the song at all, thinking what she'd look like on the cover of Elle magazine.....Anyway, I'll be your fan Ashley but please, no more Disney moments or I may hurt myself. haha

5. Jenn Beaupre: A bit like Cher, where she is quirky. Perhaps more of a gifted singer, but not as dynamic on stage and fun as Cher.

If by dynamic and fun you mean loud and off key while running around, I guess you'd be right, Jenn didn't do that. I think Jenn out of this group of eight will be the most likely at this point to work the hardest at her musical career. There are other ways to progress besides Idol, and I hope she makes it.

I loved Matt's maturity and depth - something Daryl may perhaps have the potential to develop - we shall see. Liked Melody but think she might be better singing in French; loved Dianelys voice and soul and cute moves....song choice did her in; Cher had a lot of nerve to attempt what she did - too bad it didn't quite work; Stephane was great to look at too, a close second to Ashley, but he needed to choose a song that maybe meant something to him besides being able to sing it in key....

Good job Felix - I don't agree with everything you said, but I like how you said it.

I also like to cook, go to the corner store and buy cans of soda, and travel on the subway.
