Comparing Idols....

1. Emily Vinette vs. Diana DeGarmo(A3): Don't Cry Out Loud
I think Diana DeGarmo and Emily Vinette have a lil in common, their both powerhouses and 16 years old (during the show) But the one thing different is that Diana DeGarmo is a lot more talented.

Emily 7/10 vs. Diana 10/10

2. Melissa O'Neil vs. Carrie Underwood(A4): Alone
This is a toughy because I think that they both did incredible jobs. I think I have to give this one out to Carrie, but I am still a Melissa fan and hope she wins CI3!

3. Aaron Walpole vs. Jon P. Lewis(A3): Drift Away
I think that JPL was a great performer, but I think technically, Aaron was the best.

4. Amber Fleury vs. Kimberley Locke(A2): I Can't Make You Love Me
I thought they both did very well on the song. But Amber was sooo good that I had shivers throughout the whole song.

5. Suzi Rawn vs. Tamyra Gray(A1): Minnie The Mootcher
Wow, I think they are both are naturals! They both sing the song amazing! I could'nt choose who is better.

6. Rex Goudie vs. Kalan Porter(C2): Born To Wild
I think that Kalan totally outsang Rex on that song. I think Rex was okay, but Kalan was 5x better!

7. Daryl Brunt vs. Anwar Robinson(A4): What A Wonderful World
I always that Daryl seemed very shy, although I thought he sounded good half of the time, I think Anwar was 100% better then Daryl on this tune.

8. Ashley Leitao vs. Danielle White(AJ): Colors of The Wind
Well obviously Ashley wins on this one because she is a lot older then Danielle was. Although Danielle was a good singer, you couldn't put these two in category together.

9. Josh Palmer vs. Mannoah Hartman(CI2): Hallelujah
I thought that Josh's version was very boring and that he struggled to hit the high notes. Mannoah didn't do much for me either but I thought she did sing the song better then Josh

10. Casey LeBlanc vs. Theresa Sokyrka(CI2): Overall

Because Casey hasn't sang anything any Idol has previously song that I can remember anyways I picked to compare her with Theresa since they are both Jazzy. I would pick Theresa Sokyrka overall just because I think she was consistant everyweek in the competition when Casey only picked up in the last couple of weeks.

I would disagree with you on a couple of things:

First of all, I think Josh's "Hallelujah" was miles ahead of Manoah's. Manoah was overrated by the judges, and deserved to go home the second week.

Second of all, Theresa and Casey? Please. Theresa >>>>>> Casey.

comparing the idols is stupid in general.
they're all so different and so unique in their own ways comparing them isn't the right thing to do.
everyone has their own sense of music and what sounds good to their own ears. i personally thought melissa sang alone sooo well. 10/10 for her on that one.
i loved rex's born to be wild performance. 8.5/10
and josh sang hallelujah amazingly too. 9/10.
see we already have different opinions.

I agree with Retrograde -

Josh's version of Halelujah was far superior to Manoah

How can you possibly compare Theresa with Casey - Casey is no jazz singer - she is more of a country singer. She may have improved at the end but was still not at the same level as the others - I could not stand the movements that she made while trying to sing.

By the way you did miss one comparison -

Bohemian Rhapsody by Constantine and Sheryl (or Cheryl) - but of course that would be a joke - as Constantine was amazing and as for the other - lets be nice to her and keep quiet

You also missed Summertime by Fantasia, Theresa & that Cuban firl - my vote goes to Theresa!

Personally, I abhorred Dianelys's version. I loved Jenny's version, and I loved Theresa's version, but in different ways. Fantasia's was too over the top for my taste. And it was too over the top the second time she did it, and the third, and...

I like them both...Plus, you can't compare these two. Theresa has much more experience, Casey is much younger. Casey's style is jazzy but more pop than Theresa, and I could go on and on...


I think comparing idols is okay, just as long as you don't vote based on it. For example, I'm sure many people didn't vote for Rex the first top ten night when he sand Born to be Wild, because Kalan did a million times better. But, Kalan isn't in this year, so you have to compare it to how the others of the night did.
