The Voting Diaries, Anyone??... lol...

Now, surely, the truth has never been told... the unfolding of what... no, not the singers...
... of what WE GO THROUGH, to vote for our favorite star.
Yes, the drama, the agony, de feet, de fingers, de aching back, and bleary eyes.
Surely, the truth and drama, at our homes, is enough to fill a book!!

And, so, may I present... this year's edition of...
THE VOTING DIARIES, authored by none other than ourselves

I'll do Chapter One, to start us all off...


Chapter One: Don't Lock Me Up... I AM SO SANE!!!

I have a deep dark secret, diary... no one knows. I don't know who I can trust, except you.

You see, the people I live with think I'm rather... well, they called me "NUTS!!" Can you imagine... me, nuts.... I don't tell what they all do in Their rooms, do I? But no, they think I'm the crazy one...

Well, it all started with Melissa O'Neil...
*sigh*
When she sang, well, I was voting for someone else at the time... but then Amber left... so what was I to do??

But, I had always had my eye on that sweetheart of a girl, Melissa. She is so great, diary!!!
Oh, you already know that... okay, moving along...
Well, that what is causing all the commotion.

See I want to vote for Melissa, for the whole 2 hours. The 1st coupla weeks, I sat on the floor, and voted. I put my sleeping bag on the floor, as that floor's as hard as a rock. By the 2 hour end. I was stuck... on the floor. My fingers had been numb for the last 40 minutes - hey, did you know I can dial with numb fingers?? I can!! Oh, back to the floor... I couldn't get up. I was like one of those mime statue performers, perpetually glued in place.

So, after sitting there, I reasoned that no, I couldn't sit there until next Tues. night's vote. Okay, what do babies do, when they learn to get up? I, so humbled by my position, actually rolled over onto my belly. Then, after 2 minutes, I creeped up to the hands and knees position... to where I finally could push myself to a standing position.

I Vowed, to never get stuck on the floor again. No, diary, you know that I have no long extension cord, nor a chair, in my bedroom. They all come up with answers that I don't have... silly gooses, if you ask me...

So, on Tuesday nights now, before the show... I rearrange my bedroom furniture.

Hey, YOU!!! Stop peeking, this is my diary... private stuff in here!!!

Well, that's better... at least you're not looking...

Yes, diary, I move... every Tues night. I push my bed to smack in the middle of the room. I move my phone nook table near to the bed. Then, I move my computer ledge table over my bed, in the middle of my room. I find room for my snackies, and my meds., and pull teddy bear off the floor, because he keeps falling when there's no wall against which to lean.

I go to the loo, stick my cell phone to my clothing, and go watch the show with my friend.

Then, comes the action!! I rush back to my room and... whaddaya mean, why don't I watch it in my room. You think I gotta TV in my room??!!! This ain't no Ritz Carlton Hotel, you know... besides, I like my friend.

So, I'm back in my makeshift online Melissa Central Station... hunkered down in my bed, ready for action. Ack... the phones keeping telling me off, in their ever so polite way, "All stations are busy, please try again." Hmmmnph!!

So, I manage all incoming messages, and rescue calls from nervous Monkeys, anxious to call in. I tell them don't call me, call Melissa!!!

Finally, the phones open. And, to be honest, diary, I think it's a learned talent I've got here. I've learned how to manage 2 phones, and a computer, all at once. I balance the regular phone receiver over the back of my neck, put that phone on my bed, and dial, right handed. I put the cell phone in my left hand, and use that hand for dialing too. And, for the computer, I use my left wee finger knuckle, as the rest of my hand is preoccupied with dialing. And, I can type, with that knuckle.

Amazing, huh??!!!

Dear Diary, no one has ever seen me do this unheralded feat of accomplishment. But, well, you know how rumors go... you tell one person, and before you know it, EVERYONE KNOWS. They haven't looked in my room yet... I lock the door!!

I'm not sure which is more embarrassing: them seeing me in my nightwear, in the middle of the bedroom, or me trying to keep up with everyone on Tues. night...

But, I'm not crazy... or I don't think I am... I honestly think I'm not doing quite enough for the girl. So, this Tues. night, I'm going to ask, to borrow a third phone. I'm just trying to figure out if I'll have to use my toes, too... but I will, if I have to.

After all, diary, I'm not crazy, just very clever... like any Monkey would be. I mean, at least they should have the decency to put me in a zoo, not a strait jacket. At least there, I'll get daily fresh fruit, and daily back scratching, from the other monkeys. And, I could take them all cell phones, so we all could vote for Melissa more... lol...
*sigh*
People, they just have so little sense, when it comes to the crunch. What's more important, looking like a decent human being, or being a fool, to help Melissa win?
Well, diary, at least you know, what I'm picking... and teddy says okay, too.
