Q. What Does Melissa Winning Mean To You?

I know there are probably lots of reasons, but what does Melissa winning Canadian Idol 3 mean to you?

For me, it's about "second chances".

You might remember a time in your own life when someone gave you a second chance and things turned out for the best; you might also remember how someone did not give you a second chance and things didn't turn out so rosy.

Whatever your experience, let's look at Melissa. She forgot her lines in the Top 100. Forgetting lines is like the kiss of death ... she could've gotten the boot right there. There would be no "Concrete Angel". There would be no song on a CD. There would be no appearance in the finale. She would have just become some forgotten face that wanted to be a somebody. Our lives would have been poorer for it, though.

But, she did get a second chance ... and she is making the most of it.

If you believe in second chances, make it work for Melissa by voting her the Canadian Idol 3 title.

P.S. Does anybody remember who gave her the second chance after she had forgotten her lines?

Awww...that's sweet. I never knew she had forgotten her lines, but boy, my summer would've been a lot different if she hadn't gotten that second chance!

Win or lose, Melissa is still MY Idol, and getting to meet her was the coolest experience I've ever had. Someday when she's a huge star, I'll look back on my conversations with her and think, "Wow, she really took the time to get to know me."

For me, it would mean how important maturity is when it comes to success. We've seen how mature Melissa is over the past weeks and she has coursed herself all the way to the finale with ease as if she's having a good time. Early on the show, she's had her share of the bottom three but she's handled it with utmost maturity.

That's something for someone who's 17.

It means that somewhere along the line, I may have been part of a dream coming true...

It means, I will need my own box of kleenex...

It means I have someone to look up to and admire. Even though i already do. She just makes me smile everytime I hear her angelic voice.

She is the best Female singer at the top of the new STAR`s list for 2005
