Rex Got A Record Deal!!!!!!!

Rex is under contract with BMG/Sony until December 15, right? They don't have to offer him one but my pal says all these record producers are in the audience during the Idol performances, especially last night. She says Sony would be crazy not to set Rex up as he is the ideal artist for the pop/rock world. I know I'm preaching to the converted but he's got a great voice as we know, wonderful personality, oozes charisma and of course he's not only attractive, but beautiful. I hate to use that word to apply to a man, but his eyes and smile are so warm his entre face lights up and the heart within shines through. Ideal criteria for a popular artist eh? And a lot of million-sellers don't sing as well as he does.
Rex has been very evasive in interviews when asked about a record contract - the thing is that these deals usually require a bit of secrecy. I think he's got something up already and he said he hoped to have something out before Christmas.
Wishful thinking? Fingers crossed for the babe from Burlington!

Rex Goudies relatives live down my street and I was talking with them today! Rex already has accepted a record deal from BMG the same people who did Melissa's, the only thing different with Rex's is he wont be 'owned', which is what Rex wanted!
Oh and they said Rex will be back in Newfoundland on monday, for all you die hard fans!!!!!!!!!!! he has meetings till mondays!

I'll believe it when I hear something more official (rumours can spread, even through family), but if indeed true I'm very much looking forward to it.

mmmmmmm.. I live in his town.. and is best friend's with his Aunt.. and it's 10:06pm NL time.. and I haven't heard this news.. I heard he was offered two recording deals... but none that were signed... but then again.. I could be wrong.. but I will wait to hear it from his family first to believe it.

Yeah. Find out if BMG made an offer. Of course nothing would be signed yet. This usually takes weeks and the show only finished last night.

I think that I might tend to believe what Ian said because when they asked Rex about a record deal today he was really mum about it like he didn't know what to say but from the sound of his voice I think that something is up.

If these rumours are true - and I hope to God they are by the sounds of it - I think we have something really big to celebrate because I think, and I know y'all do to, that if Rex Goudie releases a CD soon it is going to be a huge seller. And I think that when he sings, his face is so beautiful and expressive that the record companies are thinking, "yeah - boy not only can he carry a tune but he's gonna look REALLY good on a video."

I don't think there's any difference winning or losing. Either way like practically all the top 5 gets record deals.

This is the info. about Rex that I am on here looking for...This is the first CI...CD that I will buy and I have been watching all three years of CI...

I just hope that he doesn't go as wild as Jacob or as different as Kalan...although they are great, they have changed so very much...

...not complaining really just saying it as it is...
