Hi everyone!

So sorry for not commenting on the forum lately. I've been flat out with interviews for work and the book.

It's been an amazing few days let me tell you.

First off, I finally connected with Rex on Thursday and we went someplace really quiet and secluded. I'm not getting into the details because that's going to make up part of the book. Needless to say, we sat and laughed and joked and interviewed for almost 5 hours. What an amazing person Rex is.

The questions everyone sent were wonderful. I did get to ask some but not all of them. So I'm connecting with him to finish them off. I think they're important enough to put in the book.

Now let me tell you a funny story.

Rex was on his way down New Gower Street in St. John's from where he was staying at the Delta. My boss called me and asked me to bring the work camera over to where he and Rex were chatting.

Rex was on his way by the Hilary Duff lineup at Mile One in search of a haircut for Friday's concert. My boss thought it might make a good photo op for Rex to be seen walking by the HD lineup.

While I'm writing his book, I still have a living to earn. So Rex and I walked up the front steps to Mile One stadium and up to the first tent. Then I said, "Ok, let's sneak around and surprise them."

So that's what we did. The look on the girls' faces was priceless. They were in shock. They were all sleepy looking, hair a mess, no makeup. You name it. Anyways, Rex,in true gentleman form, signed a couple of autographs, I took a couple of pics for work (see them on the website.[url]www.theexpress.ca[/url]) and we moved on.

The day before, I did the interview. Like I said, we sat and talked for hours. It was really incredible how open he was with me.

All that said, Creative Publishing is telling people to prebook their copy of the book. It'll help determine how many copies to order first run. The email information is unfortuantely on my computer at work so I'll let you guys know how to reserve your copy come Monday.Hope that's okay.

Well, that's it now. The concert was a bit of Rex's album and a lot of his own personal style. It was really great to hear his voice work the music so well. My 13 year old son is now a Rex convert. He thinks he's an amazing singer.

I don't know if I mentioned it, but Rex has promised to sign books at two book signings when it's released. Stay tuned for details.

It is fresh off the printing press. Pre orders will be getting shipped out next week. Shipments to stores across Canada (Chapters/coles) will be starting next week. Today is the day the book is getting trimmed. But I’m going on the forum today to update everyone.
