how excited are you? what motavates you to try?

I wanna know what motavates people into trying out for Canadian Idol? Is it freedom? or the chance to be famous ?
Or possibly its your passion. When i think of those 3 there I get very excited , But mainly for me its my passion so if i do not happen to make it that will be fine with me. I am trying just to find out how far I can go. I trid last year and made it to the second round, bringing home a yellow ticket. this year I am aiming at going farther. I don't want to let the chance pass me my and wonder years from now if I ever could have made it.

a yellow ticket you say i thought they called them gold tickets that advanced you to go to toronto ? or am i missing somthing. There must a few rounds of judgement B4 the audition for toronto or what? . And hey thats awsome you made it that far do you have any personal recording we can check out?

There's three rounds of judging before Toronto and each round has a different ticket colour.

so 3 rounds b4 the toronto judging kewl what color are all the tick yellow blue gold? lol On that note if you make it past the first round do you have sit and wait arund for hours to do the second or do they take you right away to second round . I imagine they will give a break or something. Oh and if theres 3 rounds B4 the totronto round do i have to have 3 different songs for each round or can i play the same song twice or what?>

If you make it past the first round you should be seen that same day. They usually give you a bit of a break and then you're seen a bit latter. Time varies with each city depending on how many people they have to see.

You're advised to have five songs ready for the first two rounds. If you make it to round three you will also be asked to learn a song from a list of songs that the show has the right to air on television. List will be provided for you after your second audition so don't leave the venue without getting one. Someone will escort you to the table and make sure you get what you need. Final round of judging takes place on a different day so you have time to learn the new song.

well thats kewl i heard that you want to have 5 songs and i heard all u need is 2 but 5 is kewl. ty for the info now i gotta pick 3 more songs that protait my range and dynamics and all that jazz for vocals. Oh 1 more Question this list ur talking about do they have a song from every Genre or am i gonna have to sing some ghay big n rich tune lol no offence country fans . Country is not my thing , but this doesnt mean i cant sing country i just dont like the stuff

its gonna be difficult for me to find 5 songs
that are soft ish
or at least non-screaming (aka alexisonfire, rise against)

The reason I go to auditions isn't an option in the poll. I go to meet a few people and to have fun, for however long I can.

I don't go in with expectations. I just go for the experience.

Also... anyone else a little confused by Dreamweaver's username? (Apologies if this has been brought up elsewhere)
