What to take? Clueless

I'm going to audition in Vancouver, and I was wonder what to take? I hardly see any ppl with backpacks, so where to put water bottle, snack, food?

Also if you get hungry in line up or need to go to bathroom , are you allowed to go then back to same place in line or what? Just asking b/c I hear it takes 4-5 hours to get to first audition.

If I take coat and backpack, where can you put ur stuff before audition? B/c cell and ipod is in there.

Also I saw on tv that for Vancouver auditions, in Metrotown, there's like 200 people watching for your first audition with judges? It's a bit of a drop into the deep water, no?

And any body go alone for auditions? Can you belive out of 13 friends asked, they are either busy, working, in Tokyo, picnic-ing (what the), and I keeping it from parents as suprise that I went. So I just hope I'm not only person without friends there, and be a loner, lol. Waiting for 5 hours alone would really ******** too.

Could someone who's familiar with this whole process let me know? I've never been to any shows like this, nor preformed, so I'm clueless really.

Any tips is appreciatted!

Vancouver! Represent! Anyways, see my other post for some other info.

While you are waiting in line, you need to keep your spot. This is why most people went with other people, because the registration won't start until somewhere around 8:20, and if you arrive early, it'd be a pain in the ****** to sit there and wait.

If you arrived later, you register much faster. After you register, you are allowed to go anywhere. Just make sure you are back in the venue when your number range is called.

You can leave your backpack and coat in the waiting room before you audition for Tier 1 and Tier 2 (you have to).

There is NO live audition, I am assuming it's a rumor. The auditions will be held in the trailers, setted up outside (near Sears/parking lot entrance, very visible).

Auditioners are usually very nice. You can make friends with others right away, so don't worry about no one is going with you too much. People are really nice, really.

Hope this helps!

waiting in line

Umm...
in Halifax we were allowed to leave the line, atleast until things really got going, then again I was the first person in line and everyone knew it... most people were nice about your spot in line. plus once you registered you didn't wait in line anyways.

Also for the record... if you really really reallly need a bathroom break during registration, or even while waiting in your groups for the first audiditons if you ask they will tell you if you have enough time, and hold your spot as long as you run.... (picture this... high heels running down the middle of mic mac mall.... because the bathroom was on the other end. lol
