I thought it was quite witty and hilarious. Most people won't understand the joke, but that's the brilliance of it.

Pfft. I'm sure the sock was discussed in rehersals. I doubt that Jaydee would have even given such a thing a second thought when he is immersed in winning a singing competition.

Jake really wasn't put off. I saw it more as taken back. The whatever wasn't said with anger. He even added a witty "save it for the internet."

But basically Jake commented that the song needed more swagger.
Jaydee piped in and said "Maybe I should of used a sock."

I thought it was funny but out of place for the time slot...thank goodness many, children included with my husband, didn't understand the reference...but then again, maybe I don't what oit means....

I thought it was inappropriate, but I'll be honest... when I get annoyed, I get sarcastic, and I probably would have said something similar if I was in his shoes.
